We’re thrilled to introduce the new upgrades and enhancements that come with the launch of Fill 4.8.

  • Radio button field
  • New validation formats
  • Allowed signature type options

Add A Radio Button Field To Your Documents

With Fill 4.8, you can now integrate radio buttons into documents and forms, making data collection simpler and more efficient. Radio buttons enable users to select a single option from a list, simplifying the decision-making process.

New Validation Formats for Enhanced Accuracy

We’ve expanded our validation formats to ensure data is accurate and reliable. These new additions include:

Phone number

  • US Format. This ensures the phone number entered follows the standard US format (e.g., (123) 456-7890).
  • International Format. This allows for international phone numbers, accommodating various country codes and formats.

ZIP Code

  • US ZIP. This validates the standard 5-digit US ZIP code (e.g., 12345).
  • US ZIP +4. This validates the extended 9-digit ZIP code format, including the +4 code (e.g., 12345-6789).

SSN

This ensures the Social Security Number is entered in the correct format (e.g., 123-45-6789).

Sign Documents Using Different Signature Types

With Fill’s new update, you can now choose which signature types recipients can use for document signing.

Type signature

Signers can simply type their name or initial to generate an eSignature. Fill offers a myriad of font styles so they can choose which ones best resemble their actual handwriting.

This type of signature is best for standard business documents that require quick turnaround. This can include internal memos and approvals where a drawn or uploaded signature is not really necessary. However, typed signatures can also be used for contracts as they are still considered legally binding, and they meet compliance standards.

Draw signature

Signers can draw or write their signatures on Fill’s on-screen canvas using a mouse, stylus, or touchscreen.

Drawn signatures are often used for documents requiring a more authentic-looking signature or those where a personal touch is important. This is also ideal for those more comfortable with the more traditional way of signing documents.

Upload signature

Signers can also upload a digital copy or image of their signature to Fill. Our platform will automatically process the image to ensure it’s suitable for attachment to the document.

Importing signatures is great for documents requiring a consistent signature appearance. It’s also ideal for signers who prefer using a pre-made signature image for branding or personal consistency. Most importantly, uploaded signatures are best for high-security documents where the uploaded signature matches pre-existing records.
